Brief Class Description:
The Community Film Class meets once a week at the Moore Library in parallel with the Tacoma Public School calendar. The course offers an introduction to basic and intermediate elements of film production and it will provide an opportunity for more advanced filmmakers. It will focus on visual storytelling as a 2-dimension visual art form and group building activity. Students will be introduced to more advanced cinematography, lighting, sound, acting, dancing, choreography, screenplay writing, storyboarding, and video editing. Students will also view and critique preselected films. Finally, students will work in digital video and edit in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
